How To Draw Circles & Find Centre & Radius On A Casio fx-CG50

 

Aʙᴏᴜᴛ Tʜɪs Vɪᴅᴇᴏ – This video looks at two different options for drawing a circle graph on the Casio fx-CG50. We learn how to use both options and how to use the calculator to find x and y intercepts, the centre of the circle and the radius. There is also a method to try and find the exact answer for a radius where possible and how we can use the information to write the equation of the circle when we know the centre and radius.

How to use TI Nspire CX II to calculate mean, standard deviation, quartiles and produce a box plot

 

Aʙᴏᴜᴛ Tʜɪs Vɪᴅᴇᴏ – This video looks at finding summary statistics for a small data set on the TI-Nspire. We input the data into a document, set up like a spreadsheet from which the calculator can produce summary statistics including mean, standard deviation and the quartiles. We can then create another document which use the same data to produce a box plot showing outliers.

Working with Complex Roots with a Casio Classwiz fx-991EX

 

Aʙᴏᴜᴛ Tʜɪs Vɪᴅᴇᴏ – This video looks at supporting a method to find a cubic equation with unknown coefficients and known complex roots. By setting up an equation which involves a quadratic and using support from the calculator we are able to find the quadratic that gives the complex roots. Following that polynomial multiplication can get us back to the original cubic equation. We can then use the calculator again to verify our result.
